Stephen Sharf, President
Stephen Sharf, President of Fort Collins Granite Repair, LLC is a long time resident of Fort Collins. Mr. Sharf graduated from CSU with a degree in Business Administration and stayed in Fort Collins to help build it into the lovely community it is today.
Natural stone has long been an interest of Mr. Sharf and he has worked with it on and off over the years. That, combined with an artistic eye needed for this type of work, makes this a natural fit.
He is a long-time volunteer with Volunteers of America, where he passed a background check. Mr. Sharf was recently honored for his volunteer work when the Fort Collins United Way nominate him in 2018 as one of four Senior Volunteers of the Year. With the VOA, Steve acts as a handyman, building wheel chair ramps, steps for walkers, installing grab bars, etc., He is part of the Emergency Disaster team and delivered groceries to shut-in's among other activities.
Mr. Sharf has been involved in several businesses over his career. He started in financial services out of college, invested in and developed residential and commercial real estate, spent ten years in business consulting, finished basements and excelled in telecommunications sales.
Created Out of Necessity
Fort Collins Granite Repair was created out of necessity. In an effort to get repairs and restoration done on his own granite countertops, Mr. Sharf stated Fort Collins Granite Repair, LLC. When searching the internet, the only responses on Google were companies waning to sell new countertops for thousands. Calling several granite companies for a referral garnered the same result, no recommendations for a repair and restore person.
Initiating a much wider search, tradesmen from Denver were willing to come to Fort Collins... for a price. So Mr Sharf connected with a stone repair group, apprenticed for a time period and started Fort Collins Granite Repair, LLC to serve the local area.
